Earnings Results: NXP Semiconductors stock rallies 5% as results, outlook top Wall Street view

NXP Semiconductors NV shares rose in the extended session Monday after the chip maker — which gets more than half its sales from auto makers — topped Wall Street estimates for the past quarter, and in its outlook for the current one.

NXP NXPI forecast earnings of $3.07 to $3.49 a share on revenue of $3.1 billion to $3.3 billion for the second quarter, while analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.99 a share on revenue of $3.04 billion.
