: Activist directed money to wife of Clarence Thomas: report

A conservative activist arranged for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife to be paid tens of thousands of dollars for consulting work, specifying that her name be left off of billing paperwork, according to a Washington Post report.

The Post’s report said judicial activist Leonard Leo in January 2012 instructed Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway to bill a nonprofit group he advises and use the money to pay Virginia “Ginni” Thomas. That same year, the nonprofit filed a brief to the Supreme Court in a landmark voting…
