Ford Motor Co. late Tuesday swung to a quarterly profit and said its sales rose, but Wall Street zeroed in on another loss for its EV business as production snags plagued two of its key EVs, the Mustang Mach E SUV and the F-150 Lightning pickup truck.
Ford F earned $1.8 billion, or 44 cents a share, in the first quarter, constrasting with a loss of $3.1 billion, or 78 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted for one-time items, Ford earned 63 cents a share.
