Dow Jones Newswires: BigCommerce stock falls 15% after earnings report

Shares of software company BigCommerce Holdings Inc. were trading lower after-hours Monday, following the release of fourth-quarter results which showed higher revenue and a wider loss.

At 5:19 p.m. ET, shares were trading 15.05% lower at $21.96. The stock finished the regular session with a 2.33% gain, closing at $25.90.

reported a fourth-quarter loss per share of 48 cents on revenue of $64.9 million. Analysts were expecting a fourth-quarter loss per share of 22 cents, according to FactSet.

In the year-ago period, the company reported a loss per share of 21 cents on revenue of $43.1 million.

BigCommerce said its full-year revenue of $219.9 million rose 44% year-over-year. The company also said it is expecting 2022 total revenue between $271.6 million and $283.6 million.
