Amazon.com Inc. announced Thursday it is increasing prices for the company’s flagship shipping and streaming service Amazon Prime to $139 from $119 a year.

In Amazon’s fourth-quarter earnings report, the company disclosed a quarterly profit of $14.3 billion, or $27.75 a share — and Amazon stock

shot up 14% in Thursday’s after-hours session.
